Log in with Google allows shoppers bypass the manual registration process. Shopper can click on login with facebook and register. A one-step process that adds a lot of convenience shoppers. The guide will help you configure 'Login with Google' on your online store. 


Please note that there are two parts of the configuration:


  1. You will need to take certain actions within your Google account
  2. Configure App within eComNation Admin panel




Google Account Configurations:


  1. Log in to google developers account with your existing google login credentials: https://console.developers.google.com
  2. Click Create Project, provide a Project name (Store Name), then click Create.
  3. Under Social APIs click Google+ API and then Enable.
  4. Click Go To Credential button. 
  5. In a given dropdown select Web Browser (Javascript), then select User Data.
  6. Click What Credentials Do I Need? button.
  7. Paste your e-commerce store URL into Authorized JavaScript Origins, then paste your redirect URI into Authorized Redirect URI. The redirect URI is the URL of your application appended with the path, /.auth/login/google/callback. For example, https://yourstorename.com/customer/auth/google/callback. Make sure that you are using the HTTPS scheme. Then click Create Client ID.
  8. On the next screen, select your Email address, enter a Product Name, and click Continue, then click Done.
  9. In the top navigation, click OAuth consent screen, then enter your Privacy Policy and Term of Service URL from the e-commerce store, and click Save.
  10. Click on Web Client 1, make a note of the values of the Client ID and Client secret.


 

Note: You will get 'Client Id' and 'Secret Key' after completing the configuration. Note it down in a safe place as you will need it in next steps.

 

eComNation Admin Panel Configurations:


  1. Login to your store admin panel in a new window http://yourstorename,my39shop.com/login
  2. Go to Settings > Apps & Integration > Configure (Google).
  3. Copy Client ID and Secret Key from the Google app and paste it into the configuration fields, then click Save Changes.
  4. Turn Google ON.


All eComNation templates come with Login with Google feature. Upon completing above steps, Login with Google should start working.
