Countries are used in two important area of your online store
- Checkout: Shoppers from added countries will be able to complete the checkout. If a shopper shops from country other than you have added, checkout will prevent user from completing the shopping
- Shipping Configuration: Shipping rates are configured based on location, weight range, etc. (when you enable a country you can see country where you can configure the shipping rates
- Tax Calculation: Tax can be defined based on the shipping destination. You can configure tax rates for countries you are shipping your product
Here are steps to manage countries
- Dashboard > Settings > Countries
- click on the button 'Add Countries'
- Select the country of your choice, and click 'Add'
Note: You can add one country at a time, the countries you have already added will not be visible in the drop-down
